Our elder care program concentrates on our often overlooked elderly especially those seniors who no longer have immediate family to visit and care for them. Our elder care program also covers Alzheimer's patients where we perform live Jazz and oldies to seniors with dementia and Alzheimer's.

Studies have shown that familiar music when played to Alzheimer's patients has a very therapeutic effect and actually improves memory during the time music is played and the positive effects of music can last longer even longer than that. According to the National Center for Health Statistics, more than 50 percent of nursing home residents have no close relatives, and 46 percent have no living children. These two facts are a major reason why it is estimated that 60 percent of nursing home residents never have visitors.

Human contact is critical for health. Yet, the number of visits and calls by family and friends decline by half after an individual enters a nursing home. Try to imagine how you would feel if you had to leave your home to live in a new environment where you had limited or no access to your family and friends. Our mission is to provide that much needed human contact through one on one personal visits and also through our interactive group music entertainment.

There are many needs in the nursing home and assisted living community. We would love to be able to meet those needs as they arise.
